 the Prairie\, what a prairie is\, why protection is very important in the 
 mid-west.\n\nPlease wear proper attire for this outdoor program\, and brin
 g your water bottle. Hill Shelter House is just north of the parking lot.
 \n\nAndrea Porter is a professional naturalist and has been teaching progr
 ams for all age groups and abilities for over 17 years. She holds a master
 s in natural resources from the University of Idaho\, a Bachelor of Scienc
 e from State University of New York at Cortland in Outdoor Recreation Mana
 gement with a concentration of Environmental Interpretation\, and an Assoc
 iate's in Applied Science from Finger Lakes Community College in Natural R
 esources Conservation. Andrea's passion and education is the perfect recip
 e to foster connections between people and nature. Her professional traini
 ng has also lead her to become a prescribed wildland firefighter\, and a c
 ertified wildlife rehabilitator in the state of Iowa. Her hopes to be cert
 ified in the state of South Dakota in the near future. In her free time sh
 e enjoys kayaking\, biking\, nature photography\, hiking\, and more.
