Yoga in Nature

Join Amy Kasten for a yoga practice inspired by the beauty of the flowers and plants around you. Students will move through poses slowly and focus on breath, alignment, and the beauty surrounding them to increase awareness and relaxation.
All levels and ages are encouraged to participate. Please bring your own mat and any props you think you might need.

Join Amy Kasten at the Arboretum, and let the beauty of the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum's flowers and plants inspire you to experience yoga poses and journal your thoughts in nature. Students will flow through poses and then pause to reflect and write their thoughts during this class. All levels and ages are encouraged to participate. Please bring your own mat and any other props you think you might need, journals will be provided

Bird Watching with the Wild Bird Connection

Join Phil Pudenz of the Wild Bird Connection at the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum, for a guided bird walk. All ages are welcome.

Plein Air

Connect with nature and your creativity in a beautiful setting to explore open-air painting. Guided by Natalie Sorenson, we will meet inside the Jasper Educational Center to discuss the ins and outs of painting outdoors, and then move outside, choosing from varied subject matter within easy access. Bring your painting medium and tools of choice, easel, and optional folding stool. A list of recommended supplies and alternatives will follow.
