All Things Pumpkin

Everything you've ever wanted to do with pumpkins! Paint them, carve them, smash them, bake them, eat them! Every participant received two pumpkins to do with as they please. Painting project registration is through Creative Spirits and all other events are through the Arboretum. Ages 5 & up. Cost is $10.00 per child for Arboretum activities; $20.00 through Creative Spirits for the painting project.

Singing Bowls & Meditation

Sound impacts our lives in so many ways. Come experience the healing properties of the Tibetan singing bowls. This holistic practice brings relaxation to the body, mind, and spirit. Enjoy 45 minutes of stillness and leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Bring a yoga mat, blanket, or cushion to sit or lie on. The body cools when it is motionless, so please dress accordingly. Cost is $20.00 per person. Space is limited, so please register ahead of time.

Qi Gong & T'ai Chi

Come explore the relaxing practice of Qi Gong and T'ai Chi. This practice is gentle on joints and considered non-impact, helps improve balance and relieve stress. Class is 60 minutes. Beginners are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes. Cost is $20.00 per person. Class size is limited to 20, so register today!

See New Trees to Replace your lost trees

This walk and talk is for those who have (or had) ash trees and made the choice to start over after the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) was found in the Sioux Falls area. The presentation will be given by Mike Cooper, EAB specialist with Landscape Garden Centers and former City Planning Director; Bryan Peterson, an Urban Forestry Specialist with Sioux Falls Parks & Recreation; and Arboretum staff. First 25 people registered & paid will receive a gift card from Landscape Garden Centers. Cost is $5.00 per person.
