Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend an Arboretum Program, Class, or your registered Camp WILD week, with notification prior to the event, you may transfer your registration fee to another class in the same year, or another open week of Camp WILD.

Cancellations for any camp, program, or class must be made in writing at least two weeks prior to the scheduled activity for a 75% refund. No refunds will be made less than two weeks prior to the class.

Consent and Release
All children attending Camp WILD must have a signed waiver on file. Download and print HERE. Please drop it off before the first day of camp. Copies are also available at the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum office. Only one waiver is required per camper per summer. Campers who do not have a waiver on file will not be able to stay for Camp WILD.

Photos/Video Release for Events
Please be aware that campers, as well as program and class attendees, may appear in promotional photos and/or videos on Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum social media and other marketing platforms.

Sign In/Out Procedure
For your child’s safety we will have a sign in/sign out sheet that must be filled out for each session of camp, both when you drop off and when you pick up your camper.

Check-in for each Camp WILD day begins fifteen minutes before the scheduled start time, and check-out will begin fifteen minutes prior to the end of Camp WILD. Campers will enter through the Jasper Education Center entrance, just under the Schoolhouse Bell Tower.

Illness
We follow the South Dakota Department of Health guidelines for admitting campers who are ill. If your child is sick, we recommend that you call Education Coordinator Natalie at 605-376-9961 with as much notice as possible and we will discuss the options for your camper. Please note that we do not require immunizations for children to attend Camp WILD.

What to Bring to CAMP

• Campers should dress appropriately for the weather. They should wear shoes that have a back (no sandals). Campers are welcome to bring ponchos, raincoats, or umbrellas if the forecast includes rain. WILD about WATER campers will benefit from rain boots.

• Please apply sunscreen before your child is dropped off for the day, or pack sunscreen for children who are able to apply it independently.

• We recommend that you send a water bottle with your camper for warm days.

• Snacks will be provided in the morning and afternoon for all campers. If your child has specific nutritional needs, you are welcome to send a separate snack for your camper.

We encourage all photographers to come out and enjoy the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum and East Sioux Falls Historic Site. The natural beauty and unique setting provide plenty of opportunity to capture outdoor photos for friends and family. Please follow proper Park Etiquette when choosing your setting. Scheduled events have precedence, including proximity, line of site, and sound considerations.
